Given its strategic and organisational importance, the key prerequisite of the KanBan service is to satisfy the customer’s logistical requirements. The indicators defined for the customer, Tellure Rôta, are the type of material and the relative quantities and packages:
in view of an annual forecast, thanks also to ISB’s stocking capacity, optimal packages are established for each type of product and on the basis of the customer’s requirements, the frequency of deliveries is defined (weekly). The service provides for the distribution of a device with a pre-installed branded app (ISB Easy Click): a simple, effective and efficient system for controlling accesses through logins with username and password. In the specific case of Tellure Rôta, a mobile phone was provided with which the operators automatically insert the order in the cart by scanning the QR code on the boxes received.
The cart is managed by ISB according to defined commercial agreements; specifically,
the Tellure Rôta cart is imported into the ISB management system once a week. The orders received are then confirmed and arranged for the preparation of the deliveries which are to be made within two days. The transport documents in digital form are sent to the customer’s system upon delivery of the material.
