Lorenzo Caffini, CEO of Caffini Pumps, what is the business of the company?
Caffini Pumps was established in 1942, when Cipriano Caffini first began trading in agricultural machines, but it was not until 1968 that the company shifted towards the production of low-pressure self-priming diaphragm pumps (traditionally called Libellula pumps); from the early years onwards, the company obtained a large share of the foreign market, with 80% of products exported. Caffini Pumps guarantees quality, flexibility and competitivity at all levels and for all manufacturing processes.
Products tailored to each customer and to each sector, together with the use of different construction materials, allow the diaphragm pump to operate in all sectors of application that require the transfer of thick liquids, containing abrasives or solid bodies in suspension and in which a high flow rate and discharge head are not necessary.
The main areas of application include the food, chemical and naval industries, water purification plants and water-jet cutting.
What is your top product?
The market for motor-operated diaphragm pumps is composed mainly of models with 2”,3” and 4” inlets, with the 3” version covering most requests and applications .
This is the most widely sold version, offering an ideal route into those markets in which other types of pumps are difficult to apply .
