The historic Spanish manufacturer
Isaac Panizo, Purchasing Manager of Rieju, what does the company do?
RIEJU S.A. is a family business company dedicated to the manufacture of mopeds and
motorcycles. Founded in 1934, it was started as a bicycle accessories manufacturing
company, and in 1945 it manufactured a motorized bicycle that made it enter the
business of 2 powered wheels. We currently have a wide range of vehicles that include the 50cc, 125cc and electric vehicles.
What is your flagship product?
Our highest production model is our MRT, vehicle that we have in various formats, ENDURO, SUPERMOTARD, and its higher-end PRO versions. This is manufactured in 50cc and 125cc versions. But we also have other models of lower annual production that provide the brand with a wide range of products to choose from. TANGO, RS3, CENTURY, STRADA, BYE BIKE, and the innovative electric model RIEJU NUUK. You can find them all on our website: www.riejumoto.com.
When and why did the collaboration begin between the ISB brand and the company?
We started to work with the ISB brand in 2010, introducing the steering bearing
32005 in the steering tubes of our chassis for the MRT model. We got in touch with
the commercial that carried the brand, we tested the product and it adapted perfectly
to our needs and demands.
What are the advantages of this collaboration with ISB?
ISB offers us a bearing that provides reliability, since we have not had any kind of
problem with this product at the moment and we have managed an efficient delivery management, which is what interests our company for the day to day production.
What are your projects for the future?
The future in the world of the 2-wheels motor is somewhat uncertain given the
constant restrictions imposed on the sector. Rieju is working to increase the range
of electric vehicles in our catalog, but we also work on the renovation of our current
vehicles. This year we presented at the Milan Fair the evolution of our TANGO 125
