2RS SEALED SPHERICAL ROLLER BEARINGS, a choice full of advantages

The advantages coming from the use of this component are several: improvement in reliability and operating life; keeping the machines working until the successive scheduled maintenance shutdown; finally, the absence of grease leakages from the lubrication system allows a limited environmental impact. Spherical roller bearings are designed to support high radial loads thanks to the use of spherical rollers which are manufactured with extremely accurate dimensional and geometric tolerances.

The barrel rollers coupled to the spherical housing machined in the outer ring allow the inner ring to self-align, providing an optimal distribution of the load along the length of the rollers and, together with the edge profile of the roller, avoid stress peaks at the ends of the roller itself. The range of ISB spherical roller bearings is the widest available on the market and, in the sealed version 2RS, provide the CC internal design, i.e. with rollers guided by two pressed steel half-cages, joined by a guide ring centered on the inner ring. The 2RS sealed version provides for the completion of the aforementioned geometry by closing the bearing with NBR contact seals which, beside containing the dedicated grease previously inserted inside the bearing, make it possible to reduce the risk of entry of solid particles which could alter the conditions for correct lubrication, thus producing its malfunction. The NBR seals are places in grooves machined in the outer ring and are in contact with the inner ring by means of a deformable lip.
